In this video, I head up to the food studio to hang out with Marni and show you how to make this delicious gluten-free, dairy-free Simple Mac and Cheese recipe. Marni is a holistic nutritionist in Toronto and runs an incredible food studio where she teaching people how to cook healthy plant-based foods. This is a recipe that was contributed by Marni Wasserman to my #1 best selling cookbook Get Naked In The Kitchen – Healthy Recipes That Are Proud To Bare It All. This recipe is so incredible because it is gluten-free, diary-free, and 100% delicious! Sprinkle the mixture over top the mac and cheese, place in a preheated. Oven baked mac & cheese: Toss 1/2 cup of panko or bread crumbs with 1 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Stir until bread crumbs are moist and crumbly. In a small bowl, combine rice bread crumbs and melted margarine. If you wish for your mac and cheese to be ultra cheesy, increase the total amount of cheese sauce to 3 cups. It is rich and creamy, buttery and cheesy with perfectly cooked, gluten-free shells. They are loaded with refined flour, saturated fat, processed dairy, and in some cases preservatives, flavourings, colouring, etc. Assemble mac & cheese: Add the butternut squash cheese sauce to the pasta and stir to combine, heat over low to warm through if needed. In a 9 x 9 baking dish, combine pasta and cheese sauce until pasta is thoroughly coated. Vegan Mac and Cheese, gets an upgrade with an insanely cheesy sauce made from butternut squash.
